About us

Kiwanis will be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive.

The Kiwanis Club of Paris-Brant Inc.

The first 3-2-1 club in Canada

A brief History

In April 2001, the Kiwanis Club of Paris was officially chartered .

Eager to play an active role in community service, the core group of members temporarily joined with the Kiwanis Club of Brantford (our sponsoring club) in June 2000, so they could organize and host the first Kiwanis Family Fun Day in Paris.

A great success, the Fun Day attracted more than 400 children and their parents by providing free activities and entertainment for children and information for parents.

Over the years, the Kiwanis Club of Paris-Brant has been a key sponsor for the Paris Santa Claus Parade, CPR training at Paris District High School,  Kits for Kids program, the Children’s Safety Village of Brant, the Paris Food Bank and the Food4Kids program.
In 2008, the club changed its name to The Kiwanis Club of Paris-Brant to better reflect the membership base and service area.

In 2011, the club underwent another evolution; becoming the first 3-2-1 club in Canada..

In 2013, the club introduced family and corporate memberships; increasing club membership dramatically.

In 2014, the club sponsored the Springtime in Paris Family Fun Festival two day event for the first time.

In 2018, the club became Incorporated.

In 2021, the club celebrated 20 years of service to our community.

In 2023 the club hosted the second annual Kiwanis Teddy Bear Picnic.

The club supports the Food4Kids program, and the Brant (Paris) Food Bank.

The club continues its tradition of volunteering service to the community while adapting to members’ hectic work and life demands.

The Kiwanis Club of Paris-Brant is very proud to be a part of our community and part of Kiwanis International — a worldwide service organization.

The club currently has 22 members. You can meet them all by coming to our next club meeting.
