The first 3-2-1 club in Canada
A brief History
In April 2001, the Kiwanis Club of Paris was officially chartered .
Eager to play an active role in community service, the core group of members temporarily joined with the Kiwanis Club of Brantford (our sponsoring club) in June 2000, so they could organize and host the first Kiwanis Family Fun Day in Paris.
A great success, the Fun Day attracted more than 400 children and their parents by providing free activities and entertainment for children and information for parents.
Over the years, the Kiwanis Club of Paris-Brant has been a key sponsor for the Paris Santa Claus Parade, CPR training at Paris District High School, Kits for Kids program, the Children’s Safety Village of Brant, the Paris Food Bank and the Food4Kids program.
In 2008, the club changed its name to TheKiwanis Club of Paris-Brant to better reflect the membership base and service area.
In 2011, the club underwent another evolution; becoming the first 3-2-1 club in Canada..
In 2013, the club introduced family and corporate memberships; increasing club membership dramatically.
In 2014, the club sponsored the Springtime in Paris Family Fun Festival two day event for the first time.
In 2018, the club became Incorporated.
In 2021, the club celebrated 20 years of service to our community.
In 2024, the club hosted the third annual Kiwanis Teddy Bear Picnic.
The club supports the Brant (Paris) Food Bank.
The club continues its tradition of volunteering service to the community while adapting to members’ hectic work and life demands.
